Newcomer membership is for artists who only partly meet the requirements for admission as active members. The three-year membership is a one-off. You will then be invited to apply for active membership.
We recommend joining one of the Visarte groups to benefit from local information and personal exchange. During the three-year period, the newcomer can apply for active membership. The competent federal commission decides on admission as an active member.
You can register as a newcomer at any time of the year from this link. A CV with an artistic biography and a digital passport photo are required for the application procedure.
Newcomer members are entitled to an AIAP membership card and to receive the publication ‘Art Switzerland’. If they need tax or legal advice, newcomer members can contact the office of Visarte Switzerland.
