Biografia
Cosimo Filippini is a Swiss visual artist. He works using photography as a tool to relate with other areas of the visual arts, such as drawing, painting and sculpture. He completed his studies in Milan, where he graduated in Economics for Art, Culture and Communication at the L. Bocconi University and took a diploma in piano at the G. Verdi Conservatory. He participated in artist residencies at Casa degli Artisti (Pro Helvetia, House of Switzerland, Milan), at Malévoz Quartier culturel (Pro Helvetia, Viavai+, Monthey), and at VIR (Viafarini in Residence, Milan). Since 2019, he has been involved in Visarte Ticino, of which he was co-president. He is a member of the Visual Arts Subcommittee of Canton Ticino, part of the cultural commissions at the Division of Culture and University Studies. He teaches at the New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) in Milan.
